NEW TECHNOLOGIES

RESEARCHING AND DEVELOPING NEW TECHNOLOGIES

In the ongoing search to develop new technologies to more efficiently use resources
throughout the entire chain of production,
Garces Fruit has implemented a series
of innovations described below.

INNOVATION AT PROCESSING PLANTS

INNOVATION IN THE FIELD

INNOVATION IN PRODUCTS

Innovation at Processing Plants

Automatic palletizing

Robots and automatic palletizers are used with more than 50% of our production.

Telemetry during precooling

Tool that enables us to remotely and reliably monitor the fruit cooling process in order to control and operate precooling tunnels.

Automatic dosing of fungicides

System that automates dosing of products applied on processing lines in order to optimize and standardize the process.

Automatic sanitizing

To ensure product safety, we have a system that automatically applies sanitizer to water used in processing fruit based on online concentration measurements.

Intelligent warehousing system

Use of software at both plants to optimize processes and improve outcomes of control systems.

Cherry Vision at all plants

Calibration system, comprehensively designed and developed to evaluate internal and external quality in cherries.

Innovation in the Field

Greenhouse production

In order to produce better and more efficiently, we are growing some crops in greenhouses, which allow production starting from year two.

Soil use

We have prepared protocols for technical soil analysis with a variety of parameters to correct physical, chemical and organic conditions. The result is efficient, environmentally friendly soil.

Georeferencing

At Garces Fruit, we make sure that each field and each tree are treated individually in order to prevent improper water use and over-fertilization while maximizing efficiency at each farm. We rely on precision agriculture to give us accurate measurements of our crop production.

Training systems

These systems optimize harvesting, picking produce more gently and minimizing damage to each piece of fruit. The outcome of these systems is reflected in improvements in production efficiency.

Mobile hydrocooler in fields

Enables fruit to be cooled immediately after harvest.

Innovation in Products

Product development

Ongoing testing of new varieties.

Constant development of new packaging

Always aiming to maintain the quality of our fruit.
